PREDA Annual Subscriptions:
Survey Monkey PREDA maintains an annual professional subscription ($650) which all members can access. PREDA also has internal expertise in survey design and reports generation which any member can access as needed at no cost. Due to the live data sensitivity; access requires a confidentially agreement through PREDA’s Board of Directors. Surveys can be useful for members for community feedback; business case studies; and investor profiles.
La Monde Diplomat One of the most internationally cited news magazines and as politically neutral (as possible) presenting just the facts. La Monde Diplomat is published in France; utilizing a team of global investigative journalists. PREDA maintains an annual subscription ($300) to regularly stay on top of international events that may impact the PREDA region. The subscription is accessible to PREDA members at no charge. The site is password protected; available through PREDA’s Executive Administration.
Report Linker A team of international researchers with sector specific expertise who create short briefs, downloaded charts and deep analysis reports at the global and national level. PREDA maintains an annual subscription ($2200) available to Economic Development Officers needing overview global / national data for background research literature reviews, business feasibility cases, investors profile development, and federal level grant applications. The subscription is accessible to PREDA members at no charge. The site is password protected; available through PREDA’s Executive Administration.

Marine Traffic An international GPS live database showing all marine traffic globally. The site can be searched by marine vessel type (oil tanker, cargo, recreational etc.. ) and geographically zoomed. All legal global marine vessels carry GPS / identity markers which are “pinged” and updated every day. Information on a selected vessel (what it is carrying, country of origin, and country of destination) is available. PREDA maintains basic access for overview only in its advocacy for ocean access for its export commodities. Downloadable reports are available but are “very very expensive”.
Flight Radar An international GPS live database showing all air traffic globally. The site can be searched by aircraft type (passenger, private, cargo etc.. ) and geographically zoomed. All legal global aircrafts carry GPS / identity markers which are “pinged” and updated every day. Information on a selected aircraft (country of origin, country of destination, and type) is available. PREDA maintains basic access for overview only in its advocacy for air dependent exports ( fresh local beef to Japan!) Downloadable reports are available but are “very very expensive”.
Freight Center This company offers a free costing calculation service that can used to compare commodity transportation costs. The available templates require pick-up point / drop-off point / commodity / and mode of delivery (truck, rail, vessel) . It is like the very familiar template “Mortgage Calculator” : change the inputs and you get a different payment. PREDA maintains a link to assist local Economic Development Officers developing transportation comparatives in investor profiles, business cases, and assist in council advocacy. To officially engage with Freight Center, a full “company registration” is required.
Statista PREDA discontinued its annual subscription to Statista in 2024 due to fees skyrocketing from $1500 per year to over $4000 per year. Like Report Linker above, Statista is a team of international researchers with sector specific expertise who create short briefs, downloaded charts and deep analysis reports at the global and national level. PREDA continues to provide a link to assist Economic Development Officers needing access to 10 year+ trends which is available through Statista at a very very very expensive cost!
